Dear Black People:

May 26, 2020
Dear Black People: Yes, there is systematic racism perpetrated on you by both the Democrats and Republicans. First they enslaved you, but you fought back. They didn't want to free you but they did. That was the republicans. The Democrats were against it. Now that you were free, they didn't want you in their schools or their churches or their businesses unless they could hire you at slave wages.

For Immediate Release: (New York, NY) -  The number of Covid-infected persons in the US continues to climb past 1.5 million with over 90,000 deaths. Don't pay that lockdown citation until you read this!

April 12, 2020
Many people are frustrated with the "stay at home" or "shelter in place" orders. Rightfully so, these are in direct violation of the Constitution and a violation of our human rights. Isolation is a torture technique that has been used in illegal wars, and locking someone in their home can cause psychological effects like depression, anxiety, neurological damage, and more. This is not a normal human condition.

A Hall Pass for America

March 27, 2020
In what world do you hire someone to force you to do things against your will, and to rob from you if you don't follow their instructions. This, of course, is not something anyone would ever do. It is said that the American government is one "of the people, by the people and for the people". It is a constitutional republic, which literally means a thing that belongs to the people. Government employees are legally public servants.

Nobody should have to work

March 25, 2020
At first glance, saying that nobody should have to work sounds like something Karl Marx would be happy to hear. It's actually quite the opposite. Right now everyone is afraid of what will happen with this lockdown. Many people can't get to work, businesses aren't bringing in the same revenue, people are worried about getting evicted or falling behind on their bills. There is a lot of fear that is all built on top of a foundation of the expectation that money will always keep circulating at an ever increasing rate.

Flattening the curve may be a distraction from a bigger problem

March 23, 2020
We have heard a lot about flattening the curve lately, as it relates to the government’s plan to control the future of the corona virus. But in typical government fashion, it is simply treating the symptoms and not curing the problem. The curve represents the number of people who will get sick over time. Based on the estimates, if left unchecked, the curve will rise far above the capacity of our healthcare system to treat people.

Conventions: How to proceed

March 20, 2020
Texas is home to both the LP Texas state convention, and the national Libertarian Party convention. It has already declared a state of emergency and ordered that large meetings not take place. If these orders continue, both of these conventions will be postponed or canceled. This could be disasterous to the Libertarian Party's ballot access. If nominations are not made, candidates will not be declared, petitioning can not begin, and the dominoes will keep falling.

Open letter to the Libertarian Party of Texas

March 2, 2020
Note: this article includes updates at the end. After a number of weeks working to gather funds for the Libertarian Party of Texas, in an effort to be included in their debate to be hosted on April 17, I have been informed that they have included two more podiums, rather than just including the top five candidates. This is, in effect, altering the agreement made to donors and candidates who participated in raising more than $16,000 for the party.

Trump's new tax will hurt every American

May 31, 2019
Trump has been talking about and implementing tariffs for a while. So it's no shocking news that he has a new one. Yesterday, Trump announced a new tariff on all goods coming from Mexico. Keep in mind, that's where we get a lot of our food, which will affect everyone. This tariff is threatened to increase over time, if people do not obey his demands. I know we have our differences on immigration for various reasons, but consider this: every American will feel the cost of this tariff, if a group of people do not comply with the demands.

DFW Global Marijuana March

May 13, 2019
Saturday, May 11th was DFW Marijuana March. A march to end cannabis prohibition and the drug war, saw the inclusion of many other organizations. Civil rights organizations like FIJA, the Fully Informed Jury Association was there to promote the use of jury nullification as a weapon against the drug war.  This event was an amazing step in the right direction. A police escort of over 100 officers blocked traffic for a march from Burnett park to the Tarrant County Courthouse, while hundreds,...

Our campaign was featured in Fortune Magazine's web article

April 16, 2019
Today we were featured in an article by Fortune magazine. This is great news! While some have pointed out that this article wasn't truly favoring the campaign, it's still a huge benefit. We now have a mainstream media outlet referencing our campaign objectives, quoting “Any person should be free to live their life however they prefer, so long as they don’t hurt others and don’t take their stuff", "ending the Fed", "legalizing pineapple pizza", and most importantly, they included by full name Dan Taxation Is Theft Behrman.
